In June 2014, Alison married the love of her life Jimmy. Their wedding was held at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption on Madison Avenue in Covington.

In 2019, Alison made a decision to have a double mastectomy with reconstruction and a complete hysterectomy. This was after she learned that she had the BRCA1 gene mutation, which is a predictor for an increased cancer risk in women.
The reconstruction was successful and she is currently doing very well. She thanked her family and friends, more so her husband for always standing by her side.
