Early career

Aida was hired to write for Rapshit before being cast in the show. She assisted in creating the character that she portrays on the screen.

“You keep writing character traits for Shawna that are specific only [to me],” she says of making her “weird transition.” “It was kind of unheard of, honestly. I don’t know if that’s ever really happened before.”

What did Aida study in school?

The upcoming actress graduated with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Nebraska and was accepted into law school.

The actress wanted to be a writer and she studied philosophy and English in college.

Is  Aida a stand-up comedian?

The actress admits that she took a semester off from writing and started doing stand-up. She worked the stand-up circuit in Nebraska before moving to New York.

Future Aspirations

Aida aspies to go back to where her career began, and host live Saturday Night Live.

When will Rap Sh!t season 2 air?

HBO Max has not yet revealed the date the show will begin filming again. The series is expected to debut by 2023 when the production and release date is is taken into consideration.

The first 8 episodes of season 1 of the comedy series debuted in July 2022. The first series follows estranged Miami high school friends Shawna (Aida Osman) and Mia (KaMillion) who reunite and form a group.

HBO Max announced that it was renewing the Rap Shit comedy series for a second season. The first season was a success.

“We’re so happy to play in the world of Rap Sh!t for another season with this incredibly talented team,” said the series creator and executive producer Issa Rae revealed.

Will Aida Osman still be cast in season two of the Rap Shit comedy?

Aida and Kamillion will be back as two former high school friends, Shawna and Mia who reunite to rap together. Issa Ree will be back as the executive producer.

In the previous season, Jonica Booth took a role of a manager of a group of sex workers. Cursed Devon Terell played the role of Shawn’s boyfriend, while Lamont happened to be Mia Knight’s father was played by True Detective RJ Cyler.
