In June 2014, Alison married the love of her life Jimmy. Their wedding was held at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption on Madison Avenue in Covington.

The couple went to Cancun, Mexico for their honeymoon. Together they have been blessed with two very beautiful daughters.

Illness | BRCA1 Gene Mutation

In 2019, Alison made a decision to have a double mastectomy with reconstruction and a complete hysterectomy. This was after she learned that she had the BRCA1 gene mutation, which is a predicator for an increased cancer risk in women.

The reconstruction was successful and she is currently doing very well. She thanked her family and friends, more so her husband for always standing by her side.

Montoya joined the FOX19 NOW team in October 2017 as a reporter. She is the evening anchor of FOX19NOW at 10 on Saturday. After graduating she worked at WB64 as a reporter.

Alison landed her very first full time job in Jackson, Tennessee at WBBJ-TV, where she worked as an anchor, reporter, producer and editor. She has more than 10 years of experience in TV news.
