Before moving to Iowa, Alyx grew up all over the West Coast. She has now lived in seven states. Alyx believes her passion for people came naturally as she moved from state to state and had the privilege of meeting new people from various backgrounds in different communities.
KCCI 8 News is Alyx’s third television market. She started her career in Butte, Montana as a multi-media journalist a.k.a a “one-man band’ for NBC Montana. She then returned to Reno in 2012 as a morning reporter, fill-in forecaster, and anchor for News 4. Alyx also spent a college football season on Nevada’s sideline doing sideline reporting for Wolf Pack Football on ESPN radio in 2013.
