Billie Eilish Career Journey/struggles
The popstar is one of the world’s most famous pop stars, but she’s just like everyone else.
Eilish songs escalated her to fame and her personality. The musician who was told by radio stations that she will never make it big because her songs were too sad has persevered showing a strong sense of who she is.
At the beginning of her music career, Eilish used to wear only baggy outfits. Her sense of style at the start of her career made people believe that she owned the trademark of baggy clothing – if there was one.
Billie Eilish body issues and internet trolling
Billie Eilish fans admire her confidence with limited knowledge of the musician’s attitude toward her clothing. Eilish was struggling to figure out who she was.
In an interview, the musician stated, “Wearing baggy clothes, nobody is attracted to me, I feel incredibly unlovable and unsexy and not beautiful, and people shame you for not being feminine enough”
The musician went on to reveal how the hate that she received messed up with a strong sense of identity that she was once so confident about.
“I’m a s*** and I’m a sell-out and I’m just like every other celebrity selling their bodies, and Woah! What the f*** do you want? It’s a crazy world for women, and women in the public eye.”
Billie once admitted that she doesn’t feel desired and that she worries constantly that she has been trying too hard to become desirable due to feeling undesirable.
Eilish revealed last year that although she has hated her body since she was young and it led her to self-harm, she now loves her body and is embracing it as her best friend.
The musician also addressed the online rumors about her showing symptoms of Tourrites Syndrome. She confessed that she was diagnosed with the syndrome when she was a child.
Billi went ahead to comment on the videos positively referring to them as funny and stating that she is an open book.
Tourrrites syndrome involves repetitive movements or unwanted sounds (tics) that can’t be easily controlled. The unwanted sounds typically show up between ages 2 and 15, with the average being around 6 years of age.
The pop star announced her relationship with fellow musician Jesse Rutherford in October, with an Instagram post that appeared to be a joke about their 10-year age gap. Billie dressed up as a baby whereas Rutherford dressed as an old man.
Their relationship has sparked controversy over their 10-year age gap. Recently, Finneas- Billie’s brother who is also a musician, responded to a fan comment in TikTok.
“Your sister’s dating a 31-year-old man and your music is shitty,” the TikTok user wrote. Finneas O’Connell went ahead to respond, “I want my sister to be happy and safe and she is a 21-year-old adult perfectly entitled to make her own life decisions.”
Her latest award in the Academy (Grammy) in 2022 for the category of Best Original Song for No Time to Die work. She has also received American Music Awards, among many others for her works.
