Chris Anderson Education
Anderson studied at Woodstock School in Himalayan Mountains of Mussoorie, India. He then moved to Monkton Combe School, a boarding school in Bath, England.
He later went to University of Oxford, where he initially studied physics, before changing to philosophy, politics and economics. Chris graduated in 1978.

After graduating, Chris trained as a journalist, working in newspapers and radio. In 1985 he founded Future Publishing, which was focused on specialist computer publications.
He later expanded Future Publishing into other areas such as cycling, music, technology and design.
In 1994, Chris moved to United States from UK, where he built Imagine Media, publisher of Business 2.0 magazine. He merged Imagine and Future, taking the combined entity public in London, under the Future name in 1999.
In 2001, the foundation acquired the TED Conference, and Chris left Future to work full time on TED.
In May 2016, Chris published a book titled TED Talks: The Official TED Guide to Public Speaking. The book offers tips and advice for public speaking. TED Talks book became the New York Times bestseller.
