Cindy Hsu is a Chinese American Emmy Award-winning anchor and reporter at CBS New York. She joined CBS New York in 1993 as a reporter, and then was promoted to weekend co- anchor in May 1994.
She now anchors CBS 2 News at 9 am. Hsu previously anchored the weekend evening newscasts solo up until July 2016, when she was replaced by Jessica Moore.
Having joined the station in 1993 as a reporter, Hsu was promoted to weekend co-anchor in May 1994. Hsu was promoted again to morning co-anchor in July 1996, then noon co-anchor in October of that same year.
She worked at various stations, before joining CBS in New York; as a reporter at WFRV-TV in Green Bay, Wisconsin, WTOV-TV in Steubenville, Ohio and also at WTVR-TV in Richmond, Virginia where she began her broadcasting career.
In her broadcasting career, Cindy has earned Emmy Awards for stories including ‘Smuggled from China,’ exposing the horrific plights of Chinese refugees trying to make it to America.
