He is best known for his satirical comedy sketch series Chappelle’s Show (2003–2006), which he starred in until quitting in the middle of production during the third season.

David’s comedy is not taken very well, especially by people of the transgender community.
An audience member attacked the comedian while he was performing on stage in 2022.
Luckily for David, the attacker failed to injure him. The attacker appeared to have injuries on his arms and face when the police escorted him from the venue on a stretcher.
The comedian who lost his composure for a short while later joked that the attacker is a ‘Trans man’. He felt attacked by transgender people. David received a lot of criticism from some of his fans following his comment.

The musician spoke about his beliefs about transgender people. On one show, he stated, “Gender is a fact. Every human being in this room, every human being on Earth, had to pass through the legs of a woman to be on Earth. This is a fact.”
He also labeled transgender people as “confusing” in another Netflix special, Sticks and Stones.
In his Instagram post, the musician maintained that he is ready to meet with the LGBTQ employees of Netflix who are critical of the special and he will not be “bending to anyone’s demands”.

David Chappelle to purchase properties in Ghana
The comedian who visited Ghana on January 3, 2023, is making plans to buy some properties and open a comedy club in the country.
His decision was inspired by award-winning Soul singer Steve Wonder who said in an interview recently that he wants to relocate to Ghana permanently.
