Dean Cain is an American actor, producer and television show host. He is best known for playing the role of Clark Kent/Superman in the TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Dean was also host of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! and appeared in the soap opera series Hit the Floor.

Dean Cain Family
Dean was born Dean George Tanaka in Mount Clemens, Michigan. He is the son of Roger Tanaka and actress Sharon Thomas.
He is of three eighths Japanese descent, along with French Canadian, Irish, and Welsh. Dean’s mother married film director Christopher Cain in 1969 , who adopted Dean and his brother, musician Roger Cain. The family moved to Malibu, California and later Dean’s mother had a daughter, actress Krisinda Cain.

Dean went to Santa Monica High School, where he excelled in sports. Among his schoolmates were Charlie Sheen, who played on the same baseball team as Cain when they were children, as well as Rob Lowe and his brother, Chad.
In 1984 Cain graduated from high school and attended Princeton University, where he starred as a free safety on the football team. Dean set a national record with 12 interceptions (in just 10 games) during the 1987 season, and finished his collegiate career with 22 interceptions in 30 games. While at the university he dated actress Brooke Shields .
In 1988 Dean graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in history. His senior thesis was titled “The History and Development of the Functions of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences”.
Dean Cain Married
Dean is still single. He dated actress Brooke Shields for two years while the two were both attending Princeton University. Dean became engaged to singer Mindy McCready in 1997. They broke up the following year.
After his ex girlfriend died Dean said that he was saddened to hear of her passing, but she was not surprised, he told the People magazine, Starcrushreports. Dean painted a sad picture of their relationship, which began in 1997 and ended after a year.
Mindy was considered one of country music’s biggest rising stars after the double-Platinum success of her debut album, ‘Ten Thousand Angels.’ Dean was celebrating the success of his starring role on ‘Lois & Clark’ when the two met and fell in love.

Dean has a son named Christopher Dean Cain who was born June 11, 2000 with ex-girlfriend and Playboy Playmate Samantha Torres. He named his son after his adoptive father, film director Christopher Cain.

Cannolly over the weekend, he became an internet hero after cracking an egg on the head of Australian Sen. Fraser Anning, who faced widespread denunciation after blaming the mass shootings at two mosques in New Zealand on the Muslim faith and Muslim immigration.
