Francella Perez is an American bilingual meteorologist working at NBC 7 in San Diego and Telemundo. She joined Nbc 7 News in May 2023.
Before joining NBC 7, Perez worked at KUSI News as a morning meteorologist for a period of almost 7 years. Perez was born in San Jose, Costa Rica, and relocated to Los Angeles as a young girl.
She is a seasoned meteorologist who is passionate about the Weather and what it means for the viewers. Additionally, Perez is fluent in both English and Spanish.

For 13 years Francella Perez has worked both producing and presenting weather forecasts in Los Angeles for Telemundo and Mundo Fox. Likewise, She also served as co-host of Telemundo’s morning show “Acceso Total”, and Mundo Fox’s, entertainment show “Viva el 22”.
Francella holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from UCLA. Additionally, she earned a Certification in Geoscience Broadcast Meteorology.
She also earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geoscience Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University. Further, she is a member of the National Weather Association and serves as an NWA Weather Ambassador.
Therefore, over the course of her career, Francella has earned many accolades including the prestigious “Golden Mike” award.
