Jeff Fahey (Full name- Jeffrey David Fahey) is an American film and television actor who was born on November 29, 1952, Olean, New York, U.S. On the ABC series Lost, he portrayed Captain Frank Lapidus. On The Marshal, he played the title role of Deputy Marshal Winston MacBride.

Fahey was born in Olean, New York, in an Irish American family to Jane Fahey (a homemaker) and Frank Fahey who worked at a clothing store. He was born the sixth of 13 children and studied at Father Baker’s High School. At 17, Fahey left his home to Alaska by hitchhicking and later backpacked through Europe before working on an Israeli kibbutz.

Jeff Fahey started performing at the age of 25 when he won a full scholarship to dance at the Joffrey Ballet School. He performed on Broadway and in theaters across the United States. Fahey landed his first major role in television on the soap opera One Life to Live, playing Gary Corelli.
He received his first major role in film in 1985, playing Tyree in Silverado. Fahey starred in Psycho III in 1986, as Duane Duke, a money desperate guitarist. That same year, he guest starred on the Season 3 premiere of Miami Vice as gun dealer Eddie Kaye, famously destroying Detective Sonny Crockett’s Ferrari Daytona.
In 1990, alongside Marisa Tomei, Fahey starred in the TV movie Parker Kane, and alongside Clint Eastwood in the Eastwood-directed White Hunter Black Heart. He starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in The Lawnmower Man in 1992. In 1995, Jeff Fahey was the lead in the Trimark Pictures adventure film Eye of the Wolf, directed by Arnaud Sélignac, based on the book “KAZAN” by James Oliver Curwood.
