Even after claiming that she was not racist people on social media continued to condemn her which her to post a now-deleted apology saying:
“I’m so sorry for my former #deleted post!! #Sorry but you’ll blame [me] for being scared. I saw four people of that caliber and I just revert to the past, s**t if I’m scared, I’m scared!!! The Internet is some s**t today.”
“Look yall, I’m not racist, and never have I been, so yes, I admit I’m ignorant to the facts so teach me.”I got no one put off the f***in’ plane. I didn’t even say s**t to anyone else on the f***in’ plane about how I felt! Again, I’m sorry to all Muslims, deeply sorry. But I am not a racist, loves.”
Muslim Video/ Jess Hilarious Plane Video
Jess took to Instagram where she posted a video with the caption “Official Statement Regarding Sikh & Muslim Community. Please don’t believe everything you see and hear, this is what it is” as an apology to Sikh and Muslim community for racial profiling.
In the video, she said: “So, naturally in my previous post, I was defensive, but that’s what happens when you don’t take the time to know what’s transpiring.
In understanding the error of my actions, I have to first acknowledge the rooted issues, which means racially profiling a group of individuals based on their appearance and on top of that—publicizing it on a platform where others can be hurt by it and others were hurt from it.
I’m not sure if these particular individuals that were on the plane are aware of my actions by now, but either way, I would love to apologize personally to them first for my insensitive and ignorant behaviour,” Jess noted. “Yet, I would still like to apologize to all of you who were aware and offended by my actions.
I refuse to teach, spread or be an advocate for hatred—I just want to make people laugh. I feel like nobody can say what I want to say like me, I don’t need nobody talking for me.”
