Testimony
He admitted that there was nothing glamorous about his role as Jesus in the film ‘The Passion Of Christ’ by Mel Gibson. An accidental scourge gave him a 14-inch gash on his back.
His walk to Golgotha was emotionally challenging for him. After the scene, he was accidentally struck by lightning, had a dislocated shoulder and suffered from Pneumonia and Hypothermia.
He then claims that he felt an evil presence come over him, telling him that he would die. At that moment, according to him, he felt that his death would turn a lot of people to God.
He claims then to have had no worries over dying as it would also take him to Heaven. After completing filming, he had to endure two heart surgeries including open heart surgery in order to fully recover from the impact.
Jim Caviezel Religion
He was born into a tightly knit Catholic family, went to two consecutive Catholic high schools, O’Dea high school, and John F. Kennedy Memorial High School.
His wife, Kerri, is a devout Christian. We, therefore, can assume that he has been a Catholic all his life.

- A woman in Mexico wanted me to heal her. But I can’t heal anybody. I just put my hand on her and said, ‘Thank you for seeing the film.’
