Martin Luther King Jr was an American Baptist minister and an activist. His original name was Michael King Jr and he was born in Atlanta Georgia on 15th January 1929.
Segregation at that time was the law.There was too much racism in all places and restaurants. As he grew up King didn’t like all this racism thus he was inspired to dedicate his life to achieving equality and justice for Americans of all colors.
King received Nobel Peace Prize on the 10th of December 1964. Gunnar Jahn the then-president of the Nobel Prize Committee in Oslo Norway awarded him the Nobel Peace Prize.

After King’s assassination in 1968, his wife Coretta didn’t remarry,instead,She continued raising her children and still supporting what her husband had started.Unfortunately ,Coretta later died on January 30th 2006 at the age of 78.
