Modeling Career
She began modeling at the age of 13 for a local photo enthusiast. She then moved to one of Europe’s fashion centers and signed with Elite Model Management in 1988.
By 1989 she was already becoming prominent in Paris and across the Atlantic, in New York City.She also posed for Dolce and Gabbana and the French Elle.
In February 2001, she was featured on the cover of ‘The Desire’. 2003, she appeared in Maxim. Men’s Health put her at No. 21 in the “100 Hottest Women of All Time.” AskMen pit her at the number one most desirable woman in 2002
Despite being pregnant with Deva, she posed nude for the Italian Vanity Fair in 2004. Again, still pregnant, she went semi-nude for its April 2010 issue.
She was the face of various Dior products from 2006 to 2010. In 2012, she became the new face of Dolce and Gabbana.She then also posed for the GQ Italia in February 2016.
Lastly, she walked for the spring 2019 Milan Fashion week for Dolce and Gabbana, on the runway.
Acting Career
She began acting in the early 1990s with minor roles in films like La Riffa in 1991, Bram Stroker’s Dracula in 1992 and The Apartment in 1996. She started gaining fame, following her roles in Malena in 2000, Brotherhood of the wolves and Irreversible in 2002.
From then she has played in a number of films including Tears of the Sun, The Matrix Reloaded, The Passion of Christ, The Brothers Grimm, Le Deuxieme Souffle, Shoot em up, Don’t look back and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
She has also dubbed her own voice the French and Italian releases for ‘Shoot ‘Em up’. she voiced Kaileena in the video game ‘Prince Of Persia: Warrior Within and the French voice of Cappy for the animated film Robots, French version. She also became the oldest Bond girl ever in the James Bond film Franchise.
