 Safaree Samuels And Nicki Minaj

Safaree and Nicki started dating back in 2004 and around 2005, after several years of effort but only middling success, Hood$tars split up after Safaree is kicked out and Nicki stands by her man and leaves as well.

Nicki Minaj started her solo career and Safaree supported her as a hype man but their relationship was kept quiet. Nicki would later explain to GQ that the silence was a business decision.

“When I came in the business, you couldn’t tell people you were in a relationship, because record company and management said that doesn’t make you appealing to men. So don’t tell people you’re in a relationship,” she said.

In 2011, rumors of her and Safaree being engaged started making rounds after she is spotted wearing a big diamond ring. Later in 2014, the couple went to Cabo San Lucas to celebrate a decade of being a couple and Nicki makes an Instagram post to commemorate the occasion, writing, “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. #Year10.”

Late October 2014, there were reports of their break up after Safaree was seen in public with his Nicki tattoos covered up and days later TMZ, reported that the two were no longer a couple.

Things turned sour between the two as they accused each other of cheating, lying and stealing in a public spat on Twitter.

In 2015, in an interview with The Breakfast Club hosts, Safaree said that he walked away when he started feeling disrespected. He said: “I just got to the point where the respect wasn’t there. Everyone around her works for her, you know? So it got the point where it was like, I’m your man. I’m who you go to sleep with every night. I’m who you wake up with every morning. And it got to the point where I was being treated like an employee, instead of like her man.”
