Sarah Roemer Biography

Sarah Roemer (Sarah Christine Roemer) is an American actress and model who is known for her lead role in Disturbia, although, she has also starred in other films like Asylum, Hachi: A Dog’s Tale, Fired Up!, Waking Madison, and The Con Artist, as well as the television series The Event and Chosen.

Sarah was born in San Diego. At the age of 15, she was recruited by a modeling agency while at a 7-Eleven drinking coffee and she went into modeling. She later went into acting after an agent asked her at a coffee shop in 2005.

Sarah’s first part was an indie film called Wristcutters: A Love Story. Later in 2006, she appeared in the horror film, The Grudge 2, where she played Lacey Kimble, a high school student, and young cheerleader.

Chad Murray is Sarah’s husband. They have been married since 2015, and the couple has two children. Chad was previously married to Sarah Bush an American actress too, from 2005 to 2006.

In June 2018, Sophia claimed that she felt pressured to marry Chad Murray and that marriage was not a thing she really wanted to do. A day later after Sophia’s remarks, Chad responded to his ex-wife’s remarks in a statement released by his rep to ET, saying;

“Chad conducts himself in a completely professional manner and would never marry for any reason but love,” the rep said. “Thirteen years since his divorce from Sophia, he has a very happy family life with his wife and children. He has completely moved on and doesn’t feel the need to engage in this type of behavior.”

Sarah also chimed in with a somewhat shady Instagram post in reference to Sophia’s remarks. Here is what her Instagram post said;

In Disturbia, Sarah plays Ashley Carlson, Kale’s love interest turned girlfriend and Kale’s new neighbor.  Ashley Carlson moved next to Kale’s house with her parents and she did not know she was being spied on by Kale. Kale would usually see her swimming in her backyard and reading on her roof next to her bedroom window reading books. Ashley later joined Kale’s investigation on Turner, and she spied on him while he was in the hardware store as she was driving back out of the parking lot until Turner takes out her car keys and talks to her about his privacy. She then starts to think she should leave Turner alone but Kale does not listen to her and he goes on with the investigation.

Ashley then comes to the Brecht house and helps Kale fight Turner as she scratches Turner’s face leaving scars on his forehead and she and Kale jump into Ashley’s pool and then leave to go get the police. Ashley and Kale then start dating and are last seen kissing.

Sarah was not amongst the casts of One Tree Hill. However, her husband, Chad Michael Murray and his ex-wife Sophia Bush, were. Chad played Lucas and Sophia played Brooke Davis. Lucas is a love interest Peyton Sawyer and Brooke Davis and his love for them adds conflict throughout most of the series.
