Shawn Christian Biography

Shawn Christian is an American television and film actor. He is best known for soap operas such as As the World Turns and Days of Our Lives.

He Executive Produced, Co-Directed and starred in the independent film “Spanners,” which won the award for BEST SCI-FI film at the 2015 Hollywood Independent Reel Film Festival, and BEST ACTOR at the 2015 Hollywood Underground Film Festival.

Previously Shawn was married to Deborah Quinn. The couple got married on May 18, 1996. They met while working as models audition for a print ad in Chicago, United States. The couple divorced in 2013.

He has a son named Kameron from his ex-wife and adopted step-daughter Taylor Quinn Cole. His son plays guitar and piano, and also produces music.

It was reported in February 2008 that he was cast as doctor, and specialist Daniel Jonas on Days of Our Lives.   Shawn (Daniel Jonas) is out at “Days of our Lives.”Previously, Soaps.com  reported on Christian’s rumored Days exit in July, around the time of his contract talks. His last airdate was on January 4, 2016. Shawn was let go, he did not leave of his own accord.

Shawn Christian Career

When he graduated from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan with a degree in Marketing (1989), Shawn moved to Chicago to pursue an acting career. He starred in a number of stage productions and started appearing in commercials. Shawn worked on stage with improvisational company Improv Olympic.

He was the first male spokesman on Star Search in 1994.  Shawn landed the role of Mike Kasnoff also in 1994 on As the World Turns. He was Nominated for “Hottest Male Star”in 1995 by Soap Opera Digest magazine. Shawn starred on the show until 1997, moving to Los Angeles in the meantime. 

He also had a recurring role in The WB television series Charmed in 1999 as Josh, the love interest of Piper Halliwell, played by Holly Marie Combs.

Shawn also landed the role of Johnny Durant on WB’s Summerland. Although the show was a hit the first season, it failed to earn the same attention the second season.

Shawn has also acted with his stepdaughter, Taylor Cole. He was cast as a potential cowboy boyfriend of Jack (who made a move on Will) in the final season of Will & Grace.

It was reported 1n February 2008 that he was cast as doctor, and specialist Daniel Jonas on Days of Our Lives.On the roster of an NBAE basketball team. For the 2007–08 season he played for the Miami Heat with teammates Jay Harrington.

Shawn has turned his love of travel into a new business. 

Shawn in 2018 he took his wanderlust and turned it into a new business, Lux Soul Traveler, that creates travel and lifestyle content for social media outlets.

“This is a passion project of mine and it’s been an incredible ride so far,” begins Christian. “I’m really enjoying all of the destinations that I go to.

I’m going to create an immersive experience that people can go along for the ride and the journey, and a show to inspire other people, to encourage them to get out from wherever they’re at; it’s a bit of escapism. I really want it to be enriching and entertaining.”
