During his childhood, Harvey had a severe stuttering problem, but he eventually overcame it. In 1974, Steve graduated from Glenville High School and attended Kent State University and West Virginia University, though he never graduated.
Career
In 1985, Harvey performed his first stand-up comedy at the Hilarities Comedy Club In Cleveland, Ohio. Early on he had worked as a mail carrier, carpet cleaner, autoworker and an insurance salesman.
In January 2022, Harvey began hosting the arbitration-based court comedy Judge Steve Harvey on ABC.
