Friday March 13, 2020, is a day that Suzanne will never forget. It is the day she received the most disturbing and life-changing phone call.
It was a call from her doctor, informing her that she had been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and six tumors in her right breast, and that she needed to undergo surgery as soon as possible.

She was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer and underwent 6 chemotherapy treatments in the midst of 33 daily radiation sessions.
It was during the pandemic and her girls were online schooling. Them being around made Suzanne feel loved and this helped her in her recovery.
“Surrounding yourself with loved ones is the only way that keeps you going,” Suzanne said during an interview.
