She then attended the UW-Madison where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications. While at Madison University, Tammy was also a Badger cheerleader and still cheers them on today from her living room and without the uniform!.
She previously anchored 5 pm and 10 pm newscasts at the CBS station in Green Bay 1992 which was her first professional job. This job gave her plenty of time to spend with family.
After leaving CBS News, Tammy got a job as a radio host at WIXX radio hosting the famous Murphy in the Morning show. In 2002, Tammy got an opportunity at WBAY’s sister station, WISN in Milwaukee, and couldn’t wait to move to Milwaukee to be with her husband.
Tammy is the winner of various awards such as the Associated Press, the international Peabody Award, the Edward R. Murrow Award, the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association, and the Milwaukee Press Club.
She also got the 2008 national recognition from the International Association of Fire Fighters for an investigation into the death of Green Bay firefighter Arnie Wolff.
