Will Forte, real name, Orville Willis Forte IV, is an American actor, comedian, writter and producer . His work includes being a cast member on Saturday Night Live, and the creator and star of the sitcom The Last Man on Earth. After obtaining a history degree at the University of California, Los Angeles, and becoming a financial broker like his father, Forte changed his career path to comedy and took classes with the improvisational comedy group The Groundlings. he attended the University of California, Los Angeles. He was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and completed a degree in history.

Forte wrote the pilot episode and Phil Lord and Christopher Miller directed it. For a second season, which premiered on September 27, 2015, the series was renewed on April 8, 2015. The show was renewed on March 24, 2016 for a third season, premiering on September 25, 2016. For a fourth season, which premiered on October 1, 2017, Fox renewed the series on May 10, 2017. Fox canceled the series after four seasons on May 10, 2018.
