Christina Watkins on Mental Health Awareness
Following the sudden death of her sister Tiffany in December 2019, Tina decided to be an advocate for mental health. She uses her platform at WESH 2 News, to talk about mental health awareness.
“My family first learned about mental health a little more than 10 years ago, which was when doctors diagnosed my sister, Tiffany.”
“Now we are huge advocates for mental health awareness. We are talking about it and doing our part to erase the stigma in our hometown” Christina posted on her Facebook page.
In January 2023, Christina became a board member for the National Alliance on Mental Illness in Greater Orlando(NAMIGO).
Through a Facebook post, Tina said that her late sister Tiffany was the reason she was advocating for mental health awareness.

Tina attended Stenstorm Elementary School at Oviedo then later went to Oviedo High School.
After that she went to Florida International University in Miami, Florida, and graduated in 2012 with a degree in journalism and Mass Communications.
